Do I have to pay to be a regional OM tournament Judge?

There is no cost involved to be a Judge, and we very much appreciate your willingness to help out!

What if I can’t attend the scheduled Judge’s training?

You must attend the training to judge at the tournament. In some cases, you may be able to attend other local regions’ training by prior arrangement. Please check the state website (vaodessey.org) for options. If you cannot find alternate training, please contact your Team Coach to find someone who is available for training and the tournament. Remember, if a team can’t provide a Judge, the team will NOT be scored at the tournament.

How many teams will I Judge at the tournament?

The number of teams you judge will depend on how many are doing the problem you are assigned to. Judges at our tournaments typically see between five and fifteen teams.

When would I find out what Judging role or position I am assigned?

Judging roles would be communicated by the Judge’s coordinator few days before the Judge’s training.

I got assigned to the problem that my team is doing, what should I do?

We always try to make sure that Judges are not assigned to the same problem that the team they are representing is doing. If this does happen, please contact us immediately (info@nwvoices.com) for re-assignment.
